Open rehearsal 6th September

The Whitehall Choir has space for a few new members, and we have an Open Rehearsal on the 6th of September. 

The choir is a friendly and vibrant group, it’s open to absolutely anyone, not just Civil Servants, with a short audition where you would sing some vocal exercises for me to get to know your voice and some straightforward sight reading. I always give feedback to everyone on what they can do next to work on their voice. 

It’s an exciting season to join – our first concert has a huge range of music from well-known classics like Purcell and Parry’s settings of ‘I was glad’ to one of Cecilia McDowell’s less known works, her psalm 63, as well as music from Monteverdi to Undine Smith-Moore. The following term sees us performing Bach’s ‘St John Passion’ at St John’s, Smith Square and in the summer will be working towards making a recording for the first time in a number of years.
