One Voice Community Choir (Preston)

Whilst our roots are firmly in Lancashire and the North West, the Choir has sung throughout England and in Europe.

Set up 18 years ago, initially as a 6 month project, the Choir has gone from strength to strength and now has over 50 members, from a range of different backgrounds and ages. Our style of music is a blend of gospel and inspirational classics, with contemporary and original compositions. Our music aims to inspire, as well as entertain.

Our members are involved in a variety of professions and projects around the Lancashire area, and we are all proud of the accomplishments and involvement of the Choir in helping other charities, organisations and individuals.

Our achievements include being finalists in the BBC Gospel Choir of the year, recording the BBC Children In Need song for Lancashire, performing for Her Majesty the Queen and other dignitaries at Commonwealth Observance Service at Westminster Abbey in 2009, to more recent achievements, such as being the first winners of Lytham’s St George's Day Festival Choir Competition 2017.

As well as doing professional recordings and concerts, we have helped raise tens of thousands of pounds for local charities and organisations throughout the region. We are proud to say that we have sung at many wedding ceremonies and we are always thrilled to be involved in such special occasions.

Led by our musical directors, Tyndale Thomas MBE and Kadria Thomas, we are delighted to share our love and passion for music with the people of Lancashire
