Penistone Ladies Choir

Penistone Ladies Choir was formed in 1986 in the market town of Penistone, on the south-eastern edge of the Pennines in South Yorkshire.
We are an exciting choir of over 40 members and enjoy singing a wide repertoire of songs from classical, religious, folk and contemporary styles, led by Musical Director Joseph Shaw and ably accompanied by Yvonne Woffenden, the Choir’s accompanist of many years.
We rehearse every Monday evening from 7.45 pm to 9.45 pm at St John’s Community Centre, Penistone. We enjoy a busy schedule of rehearsals, concerts, fundraisers, with the occasional competition and trip away.
