Joyful Company Of Singers

The JCS has a virtuosity and intensity of spirit, performing an astoundingly wide repertoire under founder conductor Peter Broadbent, ranging from the 16th Century to the 21st, and from the profoundly spiritual to the light-hearted.
In addition to our own concerts, we have sung at major festivals in the UK and Europe, on over 30 CD, film and TV soundtrack recordings, State Occasions, family weddings and funerals, corporate dinners, fashion shows, academic seminars and more...
We support rising young choral conductors and composers through our Youth Fund bursaries and have a continuing commitment to working with professional sight-impaired musicians.
If you would like to sing with us, we are a project-based choir with an entry audition; good sight-reading is essential. We rehearse in central London venues, typically on Mon/Thurs evenings. Members pay a per-project fee for the events for which they are selected. Music is provided.
