Hurst Green Singers
Hurst Green Singers is a friendly choir of about 70 members which typically performs two concerts a year, in May and December, at which both established and lesser known choral works are performed. Our Musical Director is Dr James Meaders. We aim to develop vocal technique, rehearse with a positive and enthusiastic attitude, explore new repertoire and perform to the best of our ability. The choir meets every Tuesday evening during term time in St. John's Church, Hurst Green, Oxted, at 8.00 pm. There are no auditions and while there is no absolute requirement to read music, there must be a willingness to learn, sing on pitch, blend with other voices and commit to regular rehearsals.
