Musical Director – Zero Harmony

The Musical Director will primarily perform the role of Musical Director to Zero Harmony, a choir set up by Siemens plc at its UK headquarters in Frimley in cooperation with Surrey Heath Singers, a choral society based in Camberley Surrey. Rehearsals take place on Thursdays lunchtime.

The role may also include:

• Deputising for or assisting the Surrey Heath Singers musical director in rehearsals and concerts.
• Potential development of a youth project for live music in Surrey Heath
• Supporting the Surrey Heath Singers choir when they perform as part of their outreach programme, for events where they are hired
• Supporting training workshops and recruitment events, including “Come and Sing” events
• Supporting our a Capella group, Singet!.

The successful candidate will be a gifted, enthusiastic and creative musical director who will enable us to provide a rewarding and enjoyable singing experience for Zero Harmony and to attract new members with ‘singing round the company’ events and concerts at the end of each term in the Siemens site.

The Musical Director will develop musical programmes in cooperation with the choir members and in coordination with colleagues in Surrey Heath Singers. The repertoire currently includes a wide range of material from classical to present day.
