Wells Cathedral Voluntary Choir is looking for an experienced Music Director to take over in September 2020 when the current Director is retiring.
Established in 1986, the choir of 30 amateur singers, drawn from around the Diocese, meet weekly and sing 30-40 services in Wells Cathedral throughout the year when we deputize for the Cathedral Choir. In addition we sing at weddings, memorial services and occasional services/concerts elsewhere.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with enthusiasm and skill to build on our reputation and develop the choir as part of the musical life in Wells.
The successful candidate will need to be an experienced Choir Director, an accomplished keyboard player and be familiar with the music of the Anglican Church.
Fee payments relate to weekly rehearsals and the number of services - annual remuneration is around £5,000 pa. with additional fees from weddings and other special services.
