Holme Valley Orchestra are seeking a Musical Director to replace our current Conductor of 27 years upon his retirement in July 2020. We are a friendly, community orchestra based in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire providing performance opportunities to those looking to return to their instruments after a period of time not playing, as well as encouraging younger players to gain experience playing with an orchestra. Our repertoire is varied, ranging from Light Classical, to Film Music, to full symphonic works, as well as specially commissioned pieces from local composers. We pride ourselves on our collaborations with other musical groups in the area and we often combine forces with other local groups as well as offering a platform for soloists wishing to perform.
