Christ Church Jazz Choir are looking for talented soul/jazz singers, who are confident soloists and ensemble singers. This is the perfect opportunity for amateur/semi-pro singers looking for more performance experience.
Christ Church Jazz Choir is an SATB choir which rehearses and performs on the last Sunday of every month at the Jazz Vespers service at Christ Church in Highbury. We currently have vacancies for sopranos, altos and tenors to join our choir.
The choir performs alongside a professional jazz piano trio and leads the congregation in worship. The Jazz Choir and band perform a mix of performance items and congregation worship songs with a community church choir. The music is a mix of gospel/spiritual/jazz arrangements of traditional Anglican hymns and secular songs for the performance items.
Auditions will take place on Saturday 12th January in time for the first service on Sunday 27th January 2019.
