Nominations open for the 2025 Making Music Awards

It’s time to celebrate the creativity, dedication, and innovation driving leisure-time music! Nominations are now open for the 2025 Making Music Awards, and we’re excited to unveil new categories that reflect the diverse ways people bring music to life in their communities.

From forward-thinking projects to exceptional volunteers, these awards recognise the individuals and groups whose efforts make a real difference. If you know someone who deserves recognition or want to showcase your group, now is your chance to give them the spotlight they deserve.

Why get involved?

Music has the power to unite communities, foster creativity, and change lives. The Making Music Awards honour those who make this possible and provide a platform to showcase their stories. Whether you’re a performer, organiser, or supporter, these awards are an opportunity to highlight the hard work that often goes unseen.

Past winners have found that receiving an award brings more than just a trophy. It elevates their profile, helps with funding applications, and energises their community. As one previous recipient shared:

'The award made a huge impact on the choir, raising morale and making members feel that the projects we do that are slightly peripheral to our concerts are indeed worthwhile and part of our core identity. The award does give Vox Holloway more credibility and strengthens our funding applications as well as our promotional work.' - Chair, Vox Holloway

With nominations open until Friday 6 June 2025, there’s plenty of time to recognise the people and projects that inspire you.

The 2025 awards are:
