In June this year, the very first BBC Music Day featured over 20 live music events, including a 73-mile musical relay from dawn to dusk along Hadrian’s Wall, a special educational needs and disability youth concert with The British Paraorchestra in Bristol, and a record-breaking musical event in Cardiff, reaching an audience of over 15 million on TV, Radio and online.
The event returns in 2016, with the theme of 'learning to play an instrument', from the most simple to the more complex. If you're planning an event for Friday 3 June, and would like to link it with Music Day to boost your profile and welcome new audiences, the BBC would like you to hear from you.
