2025 will see changes to the role of Companies House in regulating the UK business environment. 

Changes coming into effect in 2025 will mean company directors will be required to have their identities verified. This will affect any organisation that is registered with Companies House. Typically for our members this will include

Another day, another Making Music member event – one you can be part of.

Well, I could, as I play the cornet! Though anyone can join as a singer in the choir part of the Big Wind Christmas Orchestra & Choir.

So what happens? 

On a Sunday before Christmas, following a call-out on social media and via the group’s mailing list, hundreds of wind instrument players, singers and percussionists come together in an outdoor location in London to play Christmas music for three hours to passers-bys whilst raising money for charity.

Barbara Eifler experiences the London Gay Men’s Chorus 'Christmas Bop' winter show at the Queen Elizabeth Hall.

Making Music member groups come in all shapes and sizes, and this is one of the largest and best-resourced ones. I already knew they had over 200 in the chorus (and 400+ on the waiting list!), but nonetheless experiencing those massed voices live is something else.
