Piano Accompanist for Concerts

We are seeking a new accompanist to play at occasional rehearsals and at our concerts. Quite a large part of our repertoire is “a cappella” with only about six pieces needing accompaniment at each concert, so the rehearsal commitment for our accompanist is not heavy. Ideally we are looking for someone who can come along to one rehearsal before each concert and then play on the day which would amount to a 45 minute warmup session ending 30 minutes before the concert and then for the concert itself.

We sing because we enjoy it and rehearse most Wednesdays from 7.30pm at The Old Meeting House, The Twitten, Ditchling, BN6 8UJ (free parking at Ditchling Village Hall, Lewes Road, with pedestrian access into The Twitten from Lewes Road or East End Lane).

This would suit someone not wanting a regularly weekly commitment who is happy to play in a variety of venues around Sussex. All our singers give their time for free. We have a professional musical director and the position of accompanist is remunerated with the fees open to negotiation.
