Musical Director

Stevenage Ladies Choir is seeking a new Musical Director to lead our 30+ ladies. We sing a variety of popular and traditional songs, usually in 3-part harmony. We perform 2-4 concerts annually. We rehearse weekly on Thursdays with our longstanding piano accompanist.

·Candidates are requested to send a copy of their CV, plus a covering letter including: why you think you would be a good fit for the Stevenage Ladies Choir and the names and contact details for two referees. 

·Applications should arrive no later than 31 March 2024. They should be sent to the choir Secretary - Mary Sabine, at stevenageladieschoir@outlook.com. If useful, Mary or Tracey de Vere White, the Choir Chair, are happy for potential applicants to contact them for an informal chat before applying. 

·All applications will be acknowledged by email: shortlisted candidates will be informed by end April 2024. 

·Shortlisted candidates will be invited to rehearse with the Choir (dates to be agreed after acceptance of application.)

·We hope to have our new conductor in place between by end of April 2024. 

·The successful applicant will be contracted as self-employed
