Musical Director

Market Drayton Choral Society is looking for a new Musical Director with effect from January 2021 as Ken Sterling has retired after 35 successful years with the choir.

MDCS is a mixed choir of about 38 members with a good balance between SATB.  The choir performs a repertoire of mostly classical and contemporary classical music.

Our new Musical Director will share our ambition and enthusiasm, develop our musicianship and build on the standards that underpin the choir's reputation for excellent music making.

Weekly rehearsals are held in Market Drayton Junior School (Shropshire) on Wednesday evenings in term-time from 7.45 pm - 9.30 pm between September and April/May.

The current concert programme consists of two performances a year and occasional one-off events.
