Musical Director

Leamington Sinfonia (also known as LS) is an amateur symphony orchestra based in
Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, with a membership of about 60 players. The orchestra was
founded over 30 years ago and is a registered charity. We give three major concerts a year
and, in the past, have also been requested to play at private events and dinners.

We are a community orchestra, welcoming musicians with a range of musical backgrounds
and abilities. We aim to achieve the highest possible musical standard, and to provide
challenging and varied repertoire that is within the capability of our members whilst pushing
the orchestra to develop musically.

LS operates with a culture of musical respect, and of valuing every member. We aim to offer
an environment where all players can feel challenged, supported, and inspired, whatever
their level and experience, whilst having fun playing with the orchestra and giving
performances for the benefit of the local community. The orchestra is also well-known for its
sociability, and takes a pride in including as many members as possible in evenings out, parties, fund-raising activities, and other social events.

We are now seeking an experienced orchestral conductor to take over responsibility for the musical development of the orchestra.
