Rehearsal Accompanist

Fakenham Choral Society in North Norfolk is seeking a rehearsal accompanist (self-employed basis) from 1st April 2025. We are an adult choir of over 90 members founded in 1973. Our varied repertoire includes major choral works and other sacred and secular music across genres and centuries. We perform three concerts per year with professional soloists and orchestra. Rehearsals take place in Fakenham on Tuesday evenings from September to June. Applicants should have relevant experience and be able to work closely with our musical director, Mark Jones, to support the choir through the learning process. In addition, the role includes leading occasional sectional rehearsals from the piano, occasionally deputising for the MD and taking part in concert performances when needed. The closing date for applications is 14th March 2025. Interviews and auditions will be held the following week.
