How to Join the Military WAGS Choir
We are always on the look out for new members and believe that we are a very warm, welcoming and inclusive choir. However we do have certain criteria for membership as follows:
If you meet one (or more) of the following criteria, you are eligible to join the choir:
- Military Wife/Civil Partner
- Affiliate (e.g. mum/daughter of a member of the Armed Forces, teacher in a Garrison school, working in an MOD establishment)
- Long-term girlfriend of member of the Armed Forces
- Servicewoman
There is no audition process and no need to read music, the emphasis is on having fun and meeting new people.
We hold new members’ nights on a regular basis, normally on the first Thursday of each month but all dates are advertised on the website and our facebook page in advance. We ask all potential new members to attend one of these sessions in the first instance as it helps us to ensure that we have information packs available and that new members can be greeted and paired up with an existing member for the evening.
Your first rehearsal is free of charge and we do have a free crèche but places are limited so need to be booked in advance to ensure that we meet the required staffing ratios. Crèche places can be booked by emailing enquiries@militarywagschoir.co.uk
Rehearsals are held every Thursday in term-time from 6pm to 7.30pm.
