Soprano Choral scholarship

Chiswick Choir, also known as West London Chorus, has a vacancy for a soprano scholar to join them from September 2024. The scholarship runs for a year and is current;y worth £900/year. It is open to singers aged 18-30, or students in part or full-time education.

It is ideal for aspiring professional singers wishing to develop their choral singing or repertoire, or in perparation for university choral scholarships. The successful applicant is expected to attend rehearsals on Tuesday evenings in term time from 7:45-9:45pm at St Paul's Church, W4 3SD, in addition to 3 major performances a year, often with professional orchestra and soloists. There will be occasional solo/quartet/semi-chorus opportunities, as well as a chance to receive coaching from the Music Director Hilary Campbell. We have been on tour both in the UK and abroad, and sometimes deputise as a visiting choir in cathedrals such as York and Llandaff. We have an auditioned membership of between 80-100 singers drawn from the London area.
