Director of Music

After twenty years of leadership Roy Rashbrook is stepping down as Director of Music of the Chantry Singers Guildford. Roy has developed this group of about 30 mixed voices into an accomplished chamber choir, and has programmed many innovative themed concerts featuring music of many types and periods. These have included some of his own compositions and other choral works specially arranged by him for the choir. We normally give three concerts a year, with one of these usually being a larger scale programme with a chamber orchestra and soloists. Rehearsals take place on Tuesday evenings during term time at Burpham Church, New Inn Lane, Guildford.
