Making Music membership is open to any leisure-time music groups or organisations, who make, present, promote or share music with others, regardless of repertoire or size. Whether you sing Bach or Gary Barlow, play the lute or the steel pans – join the Making Music community!

Key information
- Membership to Making Music runs from 1 January - 31 December each year.
- If you apply after 1 July, membership fees are pro-rated to 50% of the fees until the end of the year.
- When you take out an insurance policy with your membership, you only pay once.
- One membership gives every member of your group or organisation full access to all the member benefits.
- Discounts on membership are available for certain types of group. Check here to see if your group is eligible.
Membership type
Decide if you are signing up for full or associate membership:
- For full membership, you will need your group's constitution (governing document) in PDF format that includes the following points:
- Establishes musical aims for your group.
- Establishes your group as a not-for-profit organisation and prohibits the division of profits or assets to any members, both as part of the group activities and upon dissolving the group.
- If your group does not have a constitution (governing document), or your constitution does not cover these points, then you can apply for associate membership.
Membership fees
Membership fees are based on the the gross income from your group's most recent completed financial year.
Gross income is all income - including donations, Gift Aid and funding.
Insurance
To decide if you want to include insurance, and which insurance package your group wants.
We offer 3 standard packages: Bronze, Silver and Gold, plus custom cover if the standard packages don't meet your requirments.
Group information
On the application form we will ask for some basic details of your group, such as group website, postcode, group type, and main repertoire.
We will also ask for the names, email addresses and role in group of anyone from your group who would like to login to the member site to access member benefits.
