Wooburn Singers

Wooburn Singers is recruiting new tenors and basses and is offering free one-year bursaries for singers aged 18-30.

We are an SATB chamber choir, singing a range of music from 16th to 21st century and performing 4-5 concerts a year around South Buckinghamshire, two Come & Sing days plus a European Tour alternate years. We have recently performed in London at the Brandenburg Festival. There is a very varied programme planned for the year ahead, starting with a world premiere of a piece by award winning composer Nei Brand, in combination with music by Dyson & Durufle.  Then Bach's iconic St Matthew Passion, with James Gichrist as the evangelist.  A jazz programme is planned for next June.

Where? We rehearse in Beaconsfield School, Wattleton Road, HP9 1SJ

When? Wednesday evenings 8-10pm, starting 9th January
