Stoneleigh Youth Orchestra

Stoneleigh Youth Orchestra is one of London's leading youth orchestras. Founded in 1944 and now based in Wimbledon, we have 170 members drawn from all over south west London and Surrey.

We run two orchestras, our Main Orchestra for players of at least grade 7 standard, and our Training Orchestra for younger, less experienced musicians aged 8 - 14. Both orchestras rehearse weekly during term time, and give 3 concerts a year in major concert halls in London and Surrey. Our Main Orchestra undertakes a week-long European Tour each summer.

We aim to provide an orchestral environment which is challenging whilst being friendly and supportive, in which young musicians of all backgrounds can develop their skills to their full potential and nurture a lifelong love of music.
