Sherborne Chamber Choir

We are an auditioned group of about 45 singers from Sherborne, Dorset, and the surrounding region. The choir was established in 1979 and for much of its existence has been conducted by its current Musical Director, Paul Ellis. We thrive on variety and sing a wide range of repertoire, both sacred and secular, ranging from the Renaissance to the present day.
We rehearse weekly during term time from September to June and perform three major concerts a year, mostly in Sherborne Abbey, both a capella and with orchestra, as well as a number of concerts at other venues in the area. We also travel abroad and over the years have sung in Paris, Tuscany and Bruges.
