Penzance Choral Society

We are a non auditioned mixed choir of around 70 members. There is a long choral
tradition in west Cornwall and we are proud to be one of the oldest mixed voice choirs in
the country. We have a wide repertoire, from the standard choral composers of the
Baroque, romantic and classical periods to more contemporary composers of the late
twentieth century.
We perform two concerts per year, normally in May and early December, accompanied by
either a full orchestra or organ/piano, with a range of local and national professional
soloists. Our rehearsals take place on Friday evenings at Humphry Davy School in
Penzance.
