Oxshott & Cobham Music Society

Voluntary non-profit promoting Music Society. Based in Holy Trinity Church, Claygate, Surrey, it normally offers six chamber music concerts per season from October to the end of March, however this year there is the bonus of three extra concerts. Membership is the best value, with concerts this year averaging just under £9.00 each, and including young award-winning musicians, well-known Celebrity performers and ensembles. Single tickets are always available at the door, and concerts take place on Saturday evenings at 8pm in Holy Trinity Church, Church Road, Claygate KT10 OJP. The one exception is the January concert, which begins at 2.30pm. and is followed by a Viennese afternoon tea for which the charge will be £7.50. The season starts this year with a Mini Festival celebration of our return to normality with a concert performed by the winner of the Leeds 2018 International Competition, Chinese-American Eric Lu. A spectacular yet extremely sensitive pianist he opens the Festival on September 18. The two following concerts feature the amazing young Spanish saxophonist, Manu Brazo with an "easy listening" classical programme on Wed., 22nd September, then the opportunity to hear some modern compositions by Nicola LeFanu, Roxanna Panufnic and Toby featuring Catriona McDermid, bassoon, and the Florian String Quartet, who will also play works by Haydn and Mozart.
