Choir Accompanist

Music Makers (Harpenden)

The Music Makers Choir of Harpenden is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic accompanist to join us for our weekly rehearsals and performances

Established in 1964, the choir is a friendly, non-auditioned ensemble of approximately 35 adult singers. While we maintain a relaxed atmosphere, we are committed to achieving high musical standards. Our wide-ranging repertoire spans sacred and secular works, from large-scale choral works to folk songs and madrigals. We generally perform two formal concerts and a lighter Christmas Concert every year.

Role Details:

• Rehearsals: Wednesdays during term time, 8:00–9:45 PM

• Location: High Street Methodist Church, Harpenden, AL5 2RU

• Start Date: September 2025

• Fees: £85 per rehearsal; £270 per concert

Responsibilities:

• Provide piano accompaniment for weekly rehearsals

• Accompany the choir during concerts in Harpenden and the surrounding areas, including organ accompaniment when required

• Occasionally lead rehearsals or sectional practices from the keyboard
