Meon Singers

We are a small choir of about 40 members based in the village of Mickleton in N. Gloucestershire and draw our members from nearby towns and villages. We usually hold two main concerts a year in Mickleton and perform at other venues two to three times a year. Our mixed repertoire of early, traditional, classical and 20th century music is constantly being extended so we cater for a wide range of tastes. We welcome singers of any age, experienced or not, who enjoy singing, perhaps who sang a while ago and would like to try again. There are no auditions; we aim simply to spread the pleasure of singing among members, for them to make friends and to develop their singing while aiming to support local charities. While we aim for good standards under the guidance of our excellent Music Directors and pianist, we never lose sight of the fact that meeting and singing together should be fun, and this is the case!
