Musical Director

Maldon Choral Society

Maldon Choral wishes to appoint a Musical Director from January 2022 on the retirement through ill health our current MD who has served since 2004. The MD is paid per rehearsal plus a fee for concerts (4 per year) and would be asked to guide and oversee our programme selection. Some vocal technique training would be expected.

Maldon Choral rehearses every Thursday 7.30-9.30 during school terms at a school. The choir has ~40 members, increasing over the last decade and now stable. We enjoy, and our audience likes the usual 'classical' repertoire but we stray into early music and popular show music occasionally.
