Lewes Music Group CIC

The Lewes Music Group is a non-profit Community Interest Company based in Lewes, East Sussex that provides concerts and community work in Lewes, Sussex and beyond.

Every year, the Lewes Music Group delivers a versatile concert season with concerts and educational work through their two main ensembles (Lewes Big Band and Jukebox 1264) as well as Lewes Music Group branded events. In the last few years, the Lewes Music Group has worked with Chestnut Treehouse Children's Hospice as well as local educational establishments and retirements homes.

The Lewes Music Group has 5 main objectives:

• To provide high quality events in the UK & abroad with the principal focus on Lewes, East Sussex.
• To advance the appreciation of the art form of music by ensuring each concert season is versatile, affordable and accessible.
• To inspire a future generation of musicians by providing opportunities to young people including but not limited to
workshops in the community.
• To use the power of music to connect with other local communities including but not limited to charities and care homes.
• To provide professional work, opportunities, touring and a safe performing environment for musicians with the aim to further
their careers.
