La Nova Singers

La Nova Singers are a female voice ensemble, who perform an eclectic repertoire of classical, sacred, operatic and modern choral music. The choir is based by the sea in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole region. They are conducted and trained by musical director and soprano Michelle Nova, who specialises in Bel Canto vocal technique. This is an ambitious upper-voice choir which aims to perform to a high standard, in concerts across the South West.

La Nova Singers were selected as one of the 2024 winners of the Classic FM Carol Competition, and were also finalists for Bournemouth Choir of the Year 2024. They took part in Making Music’s ‘Adopt a Composer’ scheme in 2015-16 (now called ‘Adopt a Music Creator’) and their performance of ‘Land Cycle’ by Ed Scolding was broadcast on BBC Radio 3.
