Harpenden Concert Band
About
Harpenden Concert Band is open to any adult who plays a wind or brass instrument or percussion. There are no auditions or grade requirements, and we rehearse weekly on Tuesday evenings. The band is self-funding and not-for-profit. All members pay termly subs that cover the purchase of music, hire of rehearsal venue, hire of concert venue and professional fees. The age range of the band currently spans 65 years! We perform three of our own concert a year, which are completely free to attend, with a voluntary collection taken at the end which we send to a charity, either local or with a connection to the band. We also regularly perform at local community events, school fetes and other private events.
