Emmanu’-EL Apostolic Gospel Academy (EAGA)

The EAGA Gospel Choir is a versatile group that performs under the patronage of the Emmanuel Apostolic Church in Leicester.
The choir members are from diverse backgrounds and languages and are community and charity orientated in bringing change and hope to the hopeless. We sing at local hospitals, old people’s homes, funerals, schools, community and charity events.
The choir sang for the Queen, members of the royal
Family, members of parliament, Jackie chan, Victoria Derbyshire TV personalities. The choir were finalists in the BBC Songs of Praise Gospel Choir of the Year 2015 and 2016, filmed 2 BBC documentaries, were winners of the East Midlands and Wales region and were runners up on The Choir with Gareth Malone in 2016, and most recently sang for the premiership Leicester win, PFA awards and were semi-finalists in ITV's Britain's Got Talent 2018. The choir was crowned BBC Gospel Choir of the year 2023 on 29 January 2023.
