Derventio Choir

The Derventio Choir began as a “Singing for Pleasure” evening class in 1992. After changing rehearsal venue it became the Derventio Choir in 1998. We meet every Tuesday evening from 7.45 until 9.30 at St Edmund’s Church Hall Allestree, Derby singing under the direction of Alexander Binns. The choice of music is eclectic ranging through songs from the shows, traditional folk songs, spirituals, classical and sacred music, in fact anything we would like to sing and we think the audience would like to hear. Rehearsals are a serious time but involve much laughter and a great deal of enjoyment.
