Bren Jones Big Band

Are you a passionate and dynamic musical leader who loves jazz, swing, and big
band music?
The Bren Jones Big Band is a friendly, ambitious group of musicians and vocalists
based North of Chippenham in Wiltshire, and we are looking for a new Musical
Director (MD) to lead us into our next chapter.
About Us:
We were established in 2009 as an ensemble of around 17 enthusiastic players,
covering everything from Duke Ellington to modern big band and popular music
arrangements. We rehearse weekly on Tuesdays 1930 - 2100 at Hullavington
Village Hall SN14 6EB and perform regularly up to 8 times a year at local events
and concerts, including the prestigious Autumn Classic Racing Festival at Castle
Combe.
We’re looking for someone who:
Has experience conducting or leading jazz/big band ensembles
Is ideally a big band instrumentalist
Can inspire and develop players of mixed abilities
Brings fresh ideas for repertoire and performances
Has good communication and organisational skills
Shares our sense of fun and community spirit
