Bradford Accordion Band

The Bradford Accordion Band was founded in 1997 and is led by Musical Director Anita Basic.
The band comprises mixed ability players of all ages with an emphasis on social activities.
The current membership,of around 30 meets most Thursday evenings at Northowram Community Centre near Halifax.
Membership is open to all accordionists the only requirement being the ability to read music and be a willing team member.
Other instruments such as woodwind, strings and percussion are also featured.
The band performs a number of concerts for independent organisations each year and hosts its own club nights from time to time. In recent years the band have performed at an annual charity event which has been very well supported and is a major focus of the year's activities.
