The Allen Lane Foundation
Whilst the Foundation does occasionally make donations to the health and social care sectors, it should be noted that the majority of its support is directed towards the cultural sector, and in particular to cultural learning and to museum, gallery, heritage and performing arts learning spaces. Support for enhancing Jewish life has largely been directed towards JW3: London's Jewish Community Centre. The majority of expenditure is for capital projects – only a small number of grants are made each year for programme funding.
You could celebrate something from your community's history or a local hero. Or maybe it's a chance to bring people together to get to know their neighbours better.
We are especially keen to receive applications from groups who have not applied to us before.
You will also need to show that your project is open to everyone in your local community.
We will give higher priority to applications from:
The Large Match Funding scheme forms part of Breckland Council's Community Funding Reserve, which is a group of funding streams that have been designed to empower groups and individuals within the district to deliver projects at a local level that align with the Council's objectives. It is an 'enabling fund' that aims to encourage 'localism' in addressing identified community need.
The Large Match Funding scheme offers grants to cover up to 30% of the total project costs
The Trust has a preference for supporting organisations in the North Tyneside, South East Northumberland and in the East Newcastle areas. In certain circumstances we may assist those operating in the wider Tyne, Wear, Durham and Northumberland areas if we consider that they offer exceptional added value to their communities or are particularly innovative. Support to national organisations will only be given where there is a specific project in the area in which we operate.
Awards for All England is a Big Lottery Fund grant scheme for local communities. There are different schemes in each of the four countries.
Awards for All England makes grants of between £300 and £10,000 to organisations wanting to run projects that aim to help improve local communities and the lives of people most in need.
