Grants for projects in all sectors of the local community. Each foundation has its own character appropriate to the location and grants may be made to a wide range of activities including: health; children and young people; arts and culture; the environment; services.
The UK Community Foundations is a national network dedicated to working locally and inspiring people to give. It helps people and organisations to invest in local communities where it is most needed and where it will have the biggest impact.
There are currently 46 community foundations located through the UK. Their main aim is to promote and and support charitable and community activity.
The average size of a grant is around £4,000.
