Registered charities based in, or benefitting, residents of Teesside, County Durham, Tyne & Wear and Northumberland may apply. Local charitable organisations are viewed more favourably than large national organisations.
Community and voluntary groups that are not able to register as charities may apply with a letter of support from a suitable registered charity (such as a local CVS) which is willing to hold the grant on their behalf.
Priority will be given to projects which address one or both of the following:
- Ease social deprivation.
- Enrich the fabric of the local community and the quality of life of individuals within that community.
Grants of between £500 and £10,000 are available. Grants are for one year only.
