Richmond Opera Presents Monteverdi’s Orfeo

Richmond Opera will stage Claudio Monteverdi’s Orfeo, one of the earliest operas, at the Normansfield Theatre, Teddington TW11 9PS. All performances will be sung in English, taking place on:

 - Friday 25th April 2025 at 7:30 pm
 - Saturday 26th April 2025 at 7:30 pm
 - Sunday 27th April 2025 at 2:30 pm (matinee)

The Story
On their wedding day, Orfeo and Euridice revel in the joy of their love.  But their happiness is shattered when Euridice is fatally bitten by a snake.  Orfeo, fuelled by passion and armed only with the power of his music, resolves to journey into the Underworld to bring back his beloved.
