Renewing your group membership and insurance

If you have a Making Music group membership (and insurance if applicable) it expires on 31 December 2024.

Corporate membership

Find and build relationships with people who are passionate about music. Our 3,800+ groups – representing over 200,000 musicians across the UK – engage over 30,000 professional artists, put on over 13,400 concerts and spend over £1.6m with music publishers each year.

Group membership

We’ve been supporting leisure-time music since 1935, and in that time we’ve built up an unbeatable range of services, resources, knowledge and relationships to help our members easily deal with the boring stuff and get on with making music. These include exclusive insurance packages, a Music Bank database, Orchestra Tax Relief and Charity Registration services, help and advice for everything from PRS to DBS checks, plus training events, opportunities to get involved and special projects.

Individuals in music groups

If you are in a group that already has membership with Making Music you can request to be linked to their account for free and access the member benefits. Just click on the ‘Link to group' button to make the request (if you are not already registered on our site you will be prompted to register first.) If you are unsure if your group already has membership with us please get in touch.

If you are in a group that does not have membership but would like to find out about joining us visit the 'Group membership' section.

Membership for umbrella organisations

We also work with the many organisations large (like the British Association of Barbershop Singers) and small (like the Avon Wind Band Association) who champion groups with a specific musical interest. If you represent a music umbrella organisation and would like to explore ways we might work together to help your own members flourish, please get in touch.
