Warwick and Kenilworth Choral Society are looking for a new Musical Director. We are a non-auditioned choir, which loves to sing a wide variety of choral music – madrigals, 20th century works and oratorios have all featured in our recent programmes. There are up to 80 SATB voices and we work hard to produce performances that have received good reviews in the local press.
We are seeking a committed and experienced Musical Director who will prepare materials, conduct rehearsals and lead the choir in at least four concerts each season You will have the experience and expertise to be able to develop musical programmes with a wide appeal and will be working with the committee to achieve a varied programme. You will be someone who can encourage and develop the choir’s musicality and skills. There will be opportunities to work with other professional musicians and you will have good contacts in the music world.
We have a dedicated accompanist who has an excellent reputation locally and will support you in achieving high performance standards. Rehearsals are held every Monday evening during term time in Warwick from 7.30 to 9.30pm. We are a registered charity and are managed by a committee elected by our members.
