Musical Director

We are a non-audition SATB community choir with around 30 members. We rehearse on Friday evenings during school terms with a Saturday evening public performance to an audience of around 100 people at the end of each term. Our repertoire is primarily classical but we also have some lighter works at the summer concert such as G&S, songs from popular musicals and other lighter works.

Rehearsals are conducted with a paid accompanist and the performances have a mixture of church organ and piano accompaniment.

The Music Director is responsible for selecting appropriate music for each performance in conjunction with the committee, training the choir at each weekly rehearsal and conducting the public performances.
