CALDER VALLEY VOICES

We are a friendly community choir meeting in Hebden Bridge for the love of singing great songs together; open and accessible to all living in and around the Calder Valley and welcoming new members with no audition. Our repertoire is varied taking in songs from the world-wide community singing tradition - particularly songs of peace and freedom but also including some pop and gospel and shape note compositions, and some that challenge us with more complicated rhythms and harmonies.

We meet once a week (guided, encouraged and stimulated by our MD Carol Donaldson), hold 1 or 2 concerts a year to raise money for charity, occasionally join with other local choirs to perform, respond when able to local/regional community requests to sing in support of appropriate causes and join in the annual, national, Streetchoirs Festival.
