Description of vacancy:
Leominster Choral Society are seeking an experienced Rehearsal Accompanist to join us at the start of our next term in September. The applicant must be an accomplished pianist able to match the high standards we strive for under the leadership of Music Director James Atherton.
We are a friendly society with around 80 members. Our choir year runs from September through to May and we perform three concerts a year. We meet for rehearsals at the Methodist Church in Leominster on Tuesday evenings from 7.30 to 9.30pm.
Our repertoire is mostly sacred music; recent performances have included Brahms Requiem, Vivaldi's Gloria, Faure Requiem. In November this year we will perform Puccini's Messa di Gloria and a selection of pieces by Parry. Our concerts are performed at the Priory church in Leominster.
This is a role for a professional musician with terms negotiable.
