We are looking for two talented accompanists to assist with rehearsals in the Merseyside area for the coming rehearsal season. Rehearsals have just started leading to our first concert in St George's Hall, Liverpool on 21st January.
Espressivo Chorus performs a mixture of popular and classical music, including rock and pop, songs from shows, film and television as well as popular classical pieces.
Excellent sightreading skills are preferred, although all music is available in advance of the rehearsal periods starting. Our singers come from all walks of life and all musical backgrounds, so initial work is usually playing through individual lines as singers learn the music, and then moving on to playing accompaniments later on in the rehearsal period.
We are aiming to produce three concerts per year in the Merseyside area, so we would be looking to run approximately 36-40 rehearsals per year in each group.
Rehearsals are Monday night (7.30-10pm) in the Allerton area of Liverpool, and Tuesday nights (7.30-10pm) in Heswall, Wirral.
