The music at Wells Cathedral has an enviable reputation. The Chapter is seeking an Assistant Organist and Director of the Voluntary Choir who will promote and deliver world-class, engaging and exciting music by:
- Supporting the musical contribution to the mission and liturgical life of the Cathedral by rehearsing and conducting the Cathedral Choir as well as playing the organ for services as required
- Leading the work required to deliver musical outreach in creative ways
- Enhancing the musical contribution made by the Wells Cathedral Voluntary Choir, through leading the recruitment, rehearsal and conducting this choir
- Being a key part of the team that creates a beautiful and magnetic musical offering in this very special place
