Warwick Orchestral Winds

Warwick Orchestral Winds - WOW (originally the Midland Wind Orchestra) was formed in 1992. Our members come from all over the Midlands and we perform concerts across Warwickshire. We rehearse fortnightly, on a Sunday at the Royal British Legion Club in Baginton, Coventry under the baton of Daniel Jones. We program less well know works together with more traditional and well known classics from the Symphonic Wind repertoire.

WOW have competed many times in the National Concert Band Festival and in 2002 gained a Gold Award in the regional heats, going on to achieve a Bronze Award at the National Finals under the baton of their then conductor John Watson. In recent years, WOW have given three concerts a year, with regular performances at St Paul's Church in Nuneaton and a summer concert at Jephson Gardens in Leamington Spa.

WOW includes enthusiastic players from all over the midlands.
