Sutton Valence Choral Society
Sutton Valence Choral Society exists to share the pleasure of music making and aims to achieve this by providing its members with opportunities to learn and perform choral works to a high standard.
A balance of traditional repertoire and less well known works is rehearsed in a hardworking and happy atmosphere on Monday evenings at Sutton Valence School. At least two major concerts a year are performed with professional soloists and the Beresford Sinfonia. We also undertake workshops, carol concerts and charitable functions. Social events are regularly held.
The Society was formed in 1990 by the Director of Music of Sutton Valence School, and has grown over the years to about 100 members. The choir, with Bryan Gipps as its conductor, is a society where people can come and sing for the sheer joy of it all.
