Nottingham Operatic Society | Making Music

Nottingham Operatic Society

Nottingham Operatic Society is one of the UK's oldest musical theatre community groups. We were founded in 1893 from the Mechanics Institute movement, and have performed in the City's Theatre Royal since 1929. We are honoured to have been asked by Cameron Mackintosh to be one of 11 groups in the UK staging new productions of the world's best loved musical - Les Misérables - in May 2025. Celebrating our 100 years at the Theatre Royal we will round off the year with 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' in October 2025.
